Perinatal Mental Health Program

Navigating the journey leading up to and throughout pregnancy can be challenging. For many mothers, the path to conception and maintaining a healthy pregnancy is fraught with obstacles and emotional strain. These challenges can have profound effects on the well-being of both mother and baby.  At We Care, we understand the importance of providing support and understanding during this critical time and are here to provide the support you need through our Perinatal Mental Health Program.

Through our Perinatal Mental Health Program, our compassionate mental health experts will work with you to:

  • Manage Postpartum Recovery: We support high-risk pregnancies and postpartum recovery for both birth mothers and their babies.
  • Address Mental Health Needs: We offer coping mechanisms for depression, anxiety, and past traumas to enhance maternal well-being.
  • Enhance Mother-Baby Bonding: We assist you in identifying strategies to strengthen your bond and enhance positive interactions with your newborn.
  • Support Emotional Responses: We help you interpret your baby’s cues and respond effectively, fostering a healthier parent-child relationship.

Early intervention during pregnancy is crucial. Addressing mental health challenges before the baby is born helps establish a solid foundation for a secure infant-parent relationship, mitigating the negative impact of stress on fetal development and promoting healthier outcomes for both mother and child. Additionally, once your baby is born, we can seamlessly transition our focus to the mental health needs of both you and your infant, should you continue to need support.

We are committed to helping you address issues such as depression, anxiety and trauma early, establishing a solid foundation for a healthy and happy future for both you and your baby, regardless of the challenges you face.
